• Lower Speed Limit on B3098 Westbury

  Wiltshire Council is proposing to lower the speed limit on sections of the B3098 between Westbury and Erlestoke. Sections between the 30mph limits in villages are currently 60mph, but proposals would take the limit down to 50mph. The 30mph limit through villages would remain unchanged.   At approximately 3.30pm on Tuesday 1st November, there was a two vehicle accident with a car and a motorcycle reported in Haynes Road Westbury.  The rider of the motorcycle received leg/ankle injuries and was airlifted to hospital in Bath.  This accident which was attended by Police, Ambulance and Air Ambulance caused some disruption to the town for a short while.  Pc Pegrum from Trowbridge Police Station is dealing...
