Splodge's Balloon Race Balloon Travels From Westbury to France

The balloon race was to see how far the
balloons would travel. Each of the children's balloons had a tag so when they
were found, the finder could let Splodge's know where it had been found. The
child whose balloon travelled the further would win.
Well, no one thought that a balloon from
Westbury would make it all the way to France! Well it did!
On 9th March, Spoldge's received
a lovely little map with a note attached. It had been sent back from Willer in
Alsace, South Eastern France (approx 15km from the Swiss border) 590 miles
away! There was also a little note asking about the company and recommending they
visit their region as it is very pretty!
On closer examination, Spoldge's owner
Vikki, then discovered that the tag was actually from her own daughters'
balloon!!! As they did not want to accept the prize themselves, they did a draw
for three prizes for other children who took part in the race.
How wonderful that Spoldge's in Westbury is
now known in France!

I know, it's fantastic that it travelled so far. Great that Westbury businesses are getting their name out there in France!!

Reportwow that's very cool. most of the time these balloons get popped on the nearest tree! nice that they gave the prize away too.
